Sunday Chatter

~ Our girls got 4th at the state tournament this weekend. Very exciting to be one of the top 4 teams in 4A in the State...(although we should have had 3rd)

~ I got to spend some time with my good friend Andy today...it's been forever since we've spent some time together. He is always good for long conversations and interesting projects.

~ Volleyball season if officially over now and I quickly have to shift gears to middle school girls' basketball. I am looking forward to basketball season and working with some of the girls I teach everyday. It will keep me busy...and I enjoy being busy!

~ I made a new recipe tonight...chicken and wild rice soup. Really turned out pretty good!

~ Tomorrow I have to go to the "girl doctor." It's not like its completely horrible, just annoying. Plus...I have decided to find a new Dr. in Wichita rather than my usual from back home, so there's always a little to be nervous for with someone new.

~ Election Day is Tuesday. I have spent the last 3 weeks in class teaching my kids about our election process (just skimming the surface, there's soooo much to it), how important it is to vote, the issues, and what it means to be liberal or conservative. I have really enjoyed teaching it, but I will be glad when Wednesday comes and the Election Craziness is over!

~ It is officially November...I can't believe how fast the year is going. In a few weeks it will be Thanksgiving (I LOVE Turkey Day), then less than a month it will be Christmas, then 2009! I just can't get over how fast time goes, and what a blessing each day is!
